Folk Roots Radio with Jan Hall
One of the most exciting things to happen in Essex County, Ontario this year, is a Folk Music DJ has moved to the area. Essex County has long been home to rock and roll, Motown, and country. However, many of us long to hear folk music. We enjoy listening to the masters including Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Stan Rogers, Buffy Sainte-Marie, The McGarrigles and Valdy to name a few. Folk Roots Radio with Jan Hall brings you the folk masters and upcoming, local and touring musicians.
Host, Jan Hall, of Folk Roots Radio with Jan Hall is now calling Leamington home with partner Susan Wheeler an accessibility advocate and wellness coach. Jan will be one of the emcees at the 3rd annual Kingsville Folk Music Festival as well as Hillside Festival. Last year Jan also MC’d at Mariposa Folk Festival. Hall is a gifted public speaker and stage presenter. Audiences are tuned in and turned on to Jan’s vast knowledge of performers on stage and in her radio interviews.
Relocated to Essex County

Jan may be quite happy to be here in Essex County. From the overwhelming welcome she’s received it’s clear we’re ready to hear the music she airs. Or, as Jan’s tagline reads on the website “we’re all about the music and the people who make it.”
